B Seen! B Heard!
Baltimore Youth Film Arts fellows and friends are participating in the international photography project Inside Out: www.insideoutproject.net.
Through independent group actions, Inside Out posts large-scale portraits in public spaces all over the world. As their website states, the project is "a global platform for people to share their untold stories and transform messages of personal identity into works of public art."
BYFA's theme is B Seen B Heard. In addition to posting large-scale portraits outdoors, all images are featured on the B Seen B Heard website with statements from participants—their personal expressions on any Baltimore subject that compels them: politics, music, religion, art, work, play, inspirations and aspirations:
Poster-size portraits (each 36 x 53 inches) will be exhibited on the exterior walls of the Harambee Center in West Baltimore (map), and will stay indefinitely. We look forward to a public pasting event to hang the portraits on Sunday, April 28, 2019 (May 5 rain date).
If you’d like to be part of this group action and share your message with the world, contact Baltimore Youth Film Arts. Baltimore residents of all ages are welcome!
New portraits and statements are welcome on the B Seen B Heard website,
though they can no longer be included as part of the outdoor pasting.
